These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TechPubs.ai platform (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
1. The Service
TechPubs.ai provides a cloud-based SaaS platform that utilizes artificial intelligence and human-assisted verification to extract structured data (JSON) from technical documentation (PDF). This data is intended to assist in the automation of work plans for industrial information systems.
2. User Data and Input
- Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the PDF documents and technical specifications you upload to the Service.
- License to Process: By uploading content, you grant TechPubs.ai a worldwide, limited license to process, host, and analyze your data solely to provide the Service and improve our extraction algorithms.
- Confidentiality: We treat your technical documentation as confidential information and will not disclose it to third parties, except as required to provide the Service (e.g., to our secure sub-processors).
3. AI and Human-Assisted Extraction
- Nature of the Output: While TechPubs.ai uses “Human-Assisted AI” to ensure high fidelity, the resulting JSON files are generated based on probabilistic models and human interpretation of complex documents.
- Verification Requirement: The Service is a decision-support tool. You are responsible for reviewing and validating the accuracy of the generated JSON and resulting work plans before implementing them in any industrial environment or production system.
- No Industrial Liability: TechPubs.ai is not responsible for any malfunctions, safety incidents, or financial losses resulting from the use of automated work plans generated from our output.
4. Subscription and Usage
- Access: Your access to the Service is based on the subscription tier or usage volume purchased.
- API Usage: If you access the Service via API, you agree to comply with our rate limits and security protocols.
- Restrictions: You may not use the Service to build a competing data extraction product or attempt to reverse-engineer our proprietary AI workflows.
5. Intellectual Property of Output
- JSON Ownership: Once the data is extracted and delivered to you, you own the resulting JSON files and any work plans derived from them.
- Platform Rights: TechPubs.ai owns the underlying technology, software, and the specific “know-how” involved in the extraction process.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TechPubs.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of production, equipment damage, or business interruption) arising from errors in data extraction or the failure of the Service to interpret a document correctly. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dallas, TX.
